Mníšek pod Brdy (Czech pronunciation: [ˈmɲiːʃɛk ˈpodbr̩dɪ]) is a town in Prague-West District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 6,400 inhabitants. The town proper is located on the stream Bojovský potok in the Benešov Uplands. The main landmarks of the town are the Mníšek pod Brdy Castle and the Skalka complex of Baroque buildings. The historic town centre and the Skalka area are well preserved and are protected as an urban monument zone.
