Holice (Czech pronunciation: [ˈɦolɪtsɛ]; German: Holitz) is a town in Pardubice District in the Pardubice Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 6,800 inhabitants. The town is located on the stream Ředický potok in the East Elbe Table. It is known as the birthplace of the explorer of Africa Emil Holub and there is a museum dedicated to him.
