📖 About Hamat Gader

Hamat Gader is a thermal park at the meeting point of Israel, Jordan, and Syria — in the Jordan Valley. The hot springs supply water at temperatures of 38-50C, with a high content of sulfur, sodium, and iron. Therapeutic effects for the skin, joints, and muscle pain. History: the Romans built a huge bathing complex here in the 2nd century CE, one of the 10 largest in the Roman world. The remains are still visible — pools, an aqueduct, and mosaics. The modern park (open since 1977) combines archaeology, pampering, and family entertainment. Three separate thermal pools: the Roman pool (42C), the spring pool (38C, relaxing), and the sun pool (32C). Beyond the water: an alligator park with 200 alligators of all ages, a forest garden designed as a Jordanian woodland, an amusement park with 30 rides, a luxury spa with massages, and a good family restaurant. A typical family vacation: morning in the pools, lunch at the alligator park, afternoon in the rides. You can stay at the adjacent Hot Springs hotel — a 4-star hotel with direct access to the park.
