מצודת ביריה היא מצודה שנבנתה בשנות המנדט הבריטי בסמוך למקום בו מצוי בימינו היישוב ביריה, שהיה זירת האירוע המכונה "העלייה לביריה" בשנת 1946, ומשמשת בימינו כמוזיאון המוכר כאתר מורשת על ידי המועצה לשימור אתרי מורשת בישראל ועל ידי תוכנית ציוני דרך. כחלק מהמאבק נגד תקנות העברת קרקעות החל הפלמ"ח ביישוב נקודות בגליל, הן כנקודות התיישבות, והן על מנת לסייע בהגנת היישובים הסמוכים ובהבאת מעפילים. הנקודה הראשונה שהקימו אנשי הפלמ"ח במסגרת זו הייתה בית קשת, שיושבה באוגוסט 1944, ולאחריה באו עמיעד (אז - ג'יב יוסוף), ביריה, חוקוק, משגב עם, רמות נפתלי ועין זיתים, כולן נקודות מבודדות בגליל. בכל שנה עולים חניכי תנועת הנוער בני עקיבא אשר יסדה את ביריה. המסע נקרא מסע ביריה.
