📖 About Ramat Gan Safari
The Safari in Ramat Gan (the Zoological Center Tel Aviv-Ramat Gan) is one of the largest and most important zoos in the Middle East, spread over 250 acres in the heart of the Gush Dan metropolis. Over 1,600 animals live here, many roaming freely in open habitats through which visitors drive in their own cars. The African safari is the heart: you drive your private car among herds of rhinos, giraffes, zebras, lions, and antelopes roaming free, in an experience like a real safari. There is also a walking zoo with elephants, gorillas, hippos, and a night house. The Safari is active in conserving endangered species and captive breeding. A veterinary team leads the care of the animals. The visitor center, feeding areas, and petting corners complete the experience. The visit takes a half to full day. Arrive in the morning when the animals are active. Very family-friendly. Enter by private car or the Safari vehicle. In summer, come early — the animals rest in the heat.

"הספארי - המרכז הזואולוגי רמת גן ע"ש ישראל פלד" הוא גן חיות ייחודי הממוקם ברמת גן, ליד הפארק הלאומי, וכולל בשטחו ספארי בסגנון אפריקאי, חצרות ראווה להצגת המגוון הזואולוגי המצוי בספארי ובית חולים לחיות בר. הספארי הוא גן החיות הגדול בישראל, והוא אחד מששת גני החיות החברים בארגון גני החיות הישראלי. הספארי משתתף בכ-60 תוכניות שימור בינלאומיות ולאומיות לחיות בסכנת הכחדה. מרבית החיות בספארי הועברו אליו מגן החיות של תל אביב, אשר נסגר ב-1980. הספארי ברמת גן מחזיק בכמה שיאים בינלאומיים ביניהם: עדר ההיפופוטמים הגדול ביותר בשביה, הפיל האפריקני הידוע הגדול ביותר בעולם - הפיל יוסי והג'ירפה בעלת מספר הצאצאים הגדול ביותר שנולדו בשבי - דניסה. הספארי הוא גן החיות בעל מגוון החיות הגדול ביותר בכל המזרח התיכון ומיוחד בשל אופן הספארי שלו. בספארי ישנם כ-1,200 בעלי חיים (מתוכם כ-800 בשטח האפריקני ו-400 בגן החיות).
