בית הכנסת עץ חיים נמצא בעיר העתיקה של חאניה באי היווני כרתים. בית כנסת זה הוא היחיד ששרד בכרתים את מלחמת העולם השנייה ושואת יהודי יוון, לאחר שנפגע מהפצצות גרמניה הנאצית. זהו גם השריד היחיד שנותר מהקהילה הרומניוטית של האי. בית הכנסת ממוקם בשכונה היהודית, לאורך רחוב קונדילאקי. הוא נבנה במאה ה-16, סבל מנזק חמור במהלך מלחמת העולם השנייה ומרעידת אדמה, שוחזר בשנים 1997–1999 וסבל מהצתה ב-2010.
