נטף הוא יישוב קהילתי בהרי ירושלים, כ-5 ק"מ צפונית מערבית לאבו גוש וכ-8 ק"מ מזרחית ללטרון. היישוב נמצא בין נחל כפירה בצפון לנחל החמישה בדרום, בין שני רכסים בגובה ממוצע של כ-500 מטר מעל פני הים. ביישוב, שבו 71 נחלות מתגוררות כ-100-90 משפחות. מקור שמו של היישוב בכפר הערבי נטאף (Nataf نطاف) ששכן בסמוך למקום עד למלחמת העצמאות.
