📖 About Eilat Underwater Observatory

The Underwater Observatory in Eilat is a unique aquarium in the world — an observation tower built into the sea, in the heart of the coral reef of the Gulf of Eilat, allowing you to view the real underwater world without getting wet. From the observatory, which descends 12 meters below the sea surface, you see through giant windows the living coral reef and its colorful fish — hundreds of species in their natural habitat. This is the northernmost reef in the world, exceptionally rich and diverse. The park also has shark pools, a sea-turtle pool, aquariums of the gulfs fish, a fish-feeding show, and a diving simulator. The view from the tower is panoramic over the Gulf of Eilat and four countries (Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia). The visit is very family-friendly and takes 2-3 hours. Best in the morning. Combine it with Eilats beaches. In summer it is an air-conditioned escape from the heat.
