📖 About Hula Lake (Agamon HaHula)
Agamon HaHula is one of the most important nature and birding sites in the world, in the Hula Valley of the Upper Galilee. Here, on the great migration route between Europe and Africa, millions of migrating birds stop each year — a breathtaking natural spectacle. At peak season (autumn and spring), up to 50,000 cranes gather at once, along with pelicans, herons, ducks, and raptors. The sight and sound of thousands of cranes taking off at sunrise is unforgettable. Local farmers feed the cranes to keep them off the fields, creating an enormous concentration. The site has walking and cycling trails, golf-cart and electric-vehicle rentals, and observation points. The guided tour in a camouflaged vehicle (a towed cart) gets close to the cranes without scaring them. The visitor center explains the migration and the restoration of the wetland. Best season: October-March. Sunrise or sunset is recommended. The visit takes 2-3 hours. Suitable for all the family. The nearby Hula Reserve complements the visit.

אֲגַמּוֹן הַחוּלָה הוא אגם מלאכותי במרכז עמק החולה, וסביבו אתר תיירות המהווה מוקד צפרות בשל העופות הרבים הנקבצים בו, בעיקר עופות מים. המקום משמש תחנה עצירה במסעות של העופות הנודדים מאירופה לאפריקה ובחזרה ומדי חורף מתמקמים באגמון אלפי עגורים. באתר ניתן לסייר באמצעות אופניים, רכב חשמלי, או עגלת מסתור.
