עֶקְרוֹן הייתה עיר קדומה בארץ ישראל שיושבה לראשונה על ידי הכנענים בתקופת הברונזה. בתקופת הברזל, עם פלישתם של גויי הים למישור החוף, הפכה לעיר פלשתית חשובה. בשלהי המאה ה-8 לפנה"ס כבשו האשורים את עקרון והשתלטו עליה. באותה תקופה נודעה העיר כיצרנית שמן זית בהיקף גדול. בשנת 603 לפנה"ס הוחרבה העיר כליל על ידי האימפריה הנאו-בבלית בראשות נבוכדנצר השני. מעט לאחר מכן התקיים במקום יישוב קטן בעיר התחתונה, ולאחר זמן קצר ננטש אף הוא, ומאז לא יושבה העיר יותר. האתר מזוהה כיום עם התל הארכאולוגי תֵּל מִקְנֶה, הסמוך לקיבוץ רבדים.
