חוד עקב הוא הר משאר שנמצא במצוק הצינים. צורת ההר חרוטית, וגובהו הוא כ-576 מטרים מעל פני הים. ההר הוא חלק מרמת עבדת. ההר קיבל את שמו מנחל עקב ומעין עקב הסמוכים, מקור השם במילה הערבית כּעבּ (كَعْب). מראש ההר ישנה תצפית רחבה, על נחל עקב, רמת בוקר ובקעת צין. העלייה אל ההר בצדו הצפוני דרך שביל ישראל תלולה ביותר, וכוללת טיפוס בעזרת יתדות ברזל. בעבר נהרגו מספר מטיילים בטיפוס על המצוק.
