📖 About Rosh Hanikra
Rosh Hanikra is a white chalk cliff at the northern tip of Israels coast, on the Lebanese border, containing spectacular sea grottoes carved by the waves over thousands of years. The steepest cable car in Israel descends from the clifftop to the caves at sea level. The grottoes are a maze of natural tunnels where the sea surges in and out with the rhythm of the waves, creating turquoise-blue colors and echoing sounds. A lit, railed walkway runs between them. There is also a British railway tunnel cut into the rock during World War II. From the clifftop, a stunning view opens south to the western Galilee coast and north to Lebanon. The visitor center has a film about how the caves formed, a restaurant, and a shop. The visit suits all ages and takes 1.5-2 hours. The cable car is an experience in itself. Combine it with nearby Achziv Beach or Achziv National Park.

רֹאשׁ הַנִּקְרָה הוא גן לאומי ושמורת טבע שנמצא בקצהו הצפוני של חוף הים התיכון של ישראל, ומצטיין במצוק תלול היורד לתוך הים התיכון ובחוף הים המפורץ שלו. מצוק הנקרות הוא קצהו המערבי של "רכס הסולם", הר התוחם את הגליל המערבי מצפון, ומתנשא לגובה של 300 מטרים. מדרום למצוק מצויים שלושה איים: תכלת, שחף ונחליאלי.
